Grievances : Subject: Complaint Regarding Improper Drain Cleaning and Unprofessional Conduct by Ward No. 35 Site Supervisor.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the improper and incomplete drain-cleaning work carried out by the Site Supervisor of Ward No. 32, Mr. Jaganath.
The supervisor came to my locality to carry out the drain-cleaning work without informing me beforehand. In particular, the work was carried out when I was away from home. I understand that he had been called by two neighbouring families. I am concerned that the work may have been carried out based on their request without properly considering or informing the other residents who were directly affected by the cleaning work.
More importantly, although the purpose of the visit was to clean the drain, the work was **not completed properly**. The slabs/coverings of the drain had been properly fixed, and I had contacted the supervisor several times regarding the issue. However, instead of completing the work properly, he removed the accumulated dirt and waste from the drain and left it outside my house and across the surrounding road.
As a result, the situation has become worse. The dumped dirt has obstructed access to my house, making it difficult for me and my family to enter and exit the property. The waste has also been left openly on the road and around my house, creating an unhygienic and inconvenient situation for the residents.
The purpose of drain cleaning should be to improve sanitation and resolve drainage problems. Unfortunately, the incomplete work and improper disposal of the waste have created **additional problems instead of resolving the original issue.
I therefore request the concerned authority to:
1. Immediately inspect the site and assess the condition of the drain and the surrounding area.
2. Remove the dumped dirt and waste from outside my house and the road at the earliest.
3. Ensure that the drain-cleaning work is properly completed.
4. Take appropriate action regarding the manner in which the work was carried out and the failure to complete it properly.
5. Ensure that such work is carried out fairly and with proper communication to all affected residents in the future.
I request **urgent intervention and appropriate strict action** so that the issue is resolved promptly and does not cause further inconvenience or sanitation problems.
