Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to draw your urgent attention to the deplorable condition of the public road immediately adjacent to Barasat Railway Station and the rail gate (level crossing).
These two roads are a major artery used by thousands of commuters, daily passengers, and vehicles every single day. Currently, the entire stretch is completely broken, filled with massive potholes, and lacks basic leveling. During the rainy season, it turns into a hazardous waterlogged zone, making it virtually impossible for pedestrians to walk and causing frequent two-wheeler accidents. The heavy traffic congestion near the rail gate is further worsened by this broken patch, causing severe delays and posing a massive safety risk to public life.
As a taxpayer and a responsible citizen, I request you to urgently inspect these two sites and initiate permanent road repair and resurfacing work on priority.
